Alexander Groth is a developer skilled in various web development languages. Prior to starting Fusionbox, he worked for an Internet Startup, Across Media as a lead developer. Alexander started Fusionbox because he felt there was a need for a focused and talented web design and development company with exceptional customer service. Alexander holds a Bachelor's from U.C. Berkeley and a Master's from Johns Hopkins. Alexander will drive the technology decisions for your project.

Alexander often interrupts the day with mandatory ping pong and ice cream breaks.

Ivy Hastings

VP Strategist

Ivy has fifteen years of experience in online marketing, usability best practices, and effective user interface design. Ivy develops all the online strategies for Fusionbox's clients and translates between the geeks and the clients. Ivy holds a degree from U.C. Berkeley and a post-baccalaureate certificate from Radcliffe. She can do wonders for your business.

Ivy left a stifling corporate position to come to work at Fusionbox in 2003. She hasn't looked back.

Maya Howearth

Project Manager

Maya graduated from the University of Colorado Denver with a degree in Communication and minor in Sustainability. Project management is the perfect fit for Maya as it allows her to combine her interest in graphic design and technology with her passion for communication. When she isn't keeping a watchful eye over her projects at Fusionbox, you can find Maya pursuing her other passion: volleyball. On the rare occasion she isn't playing volleyball, Maya also loves to take advantage of all the outdoor activities Colorado has to offer: camping, hiking, rock climbing, white water rafting, or reading on the patio of her favorite neighborhood coffee shop.

Patrick Opel

Project Manager

Patrick is a recent transplant to the Denver area, having moved from Arizona via a ten year stop over in California. After graduating with a degree in computer engineering from Santa Clara University, he spent five years working as a developer for a telecommunications company. He brings this experience and skill set to his position as project manager at Fusionbox. He's excited for this next part of his career and can't think of a better place than Fusionbox to do it. In what seems like every other waking moment outside of the office (and sometimes in the office), he enjoys watching, playing, and discussing at length any and all sports. He also enjoys the outdoors, taking in Denver's many fine brews, and spending time with good people.

Justin Stollsteimer

Web Design

Justin is not only a talented designer, he has a degree in Computer Science too. Also a usability and UX design expert, Justin translates the client's vision into a beautiful, functional, and search engine friendly website design.

Justin is also the champion of leisure sporting. Seriously. Try him

Esther Ball-Babois

Web Design

Originally born and raised in the Netherlands, Esther's European style, work ethic, and standards blend in nicely with the American desire for innovation and technology.

Her experience with graphic design and web design includes working with several different agencies of different sizes and with a vast number of clients — all with different needs and expectations. Inspiration for Esther can come from something as simple as a single line, European Street Art, Japanese Design, Pop Art, or complex UI structures.

When not sitting in front of the glowing rectangle working on web design, Esther enjoys illustrating, the old—school art of crafts, and running.

Rocky Meza

Web Development

Rocky likes programming, playing music, learning languages, and eating good food. He likes working with Python and Backbone and loves open source. When not programming, he is studying Chinese or playing viola.

Gavin Wahl

Web Development

Gavin comes to Fusionbox with a strong analytical background that makes him especially suited to solving the complex projects Fusionbox handles on a daily basis. Gavin is one of our best security minds and also brings a wealth of experience in linux kernel hacking.

Outside of Fusionbox, Gavin enjoys the structures of unique buildings and exploring abandoned places.

Gavin has also earned the title of Most Improved Ping Pong Player here at Fusionbox.

Chris Proto

Web Development

Chris comes to Fusionbox from Villanova University College of Engineering. He brings his passion for web development and serious programming chops to the circle we all refer to as the "nerd herd". Along with Gavin, Chris is one of our serious Python programmers, but has become well-versed in PHP.

Chris enjoys the great outdoors including bike riding, rock climbing, and running. Occasionally he runs the streets of Denver disguised as a vampire.

William Scales

Web Development

William has been tinkering with computers, programming, and free software his whole life and is skilled in several languages, including Python and Ruby as well as PHP. William has been a Fusionboxer for 2 years, but he concurrently studies Honors Physics and Math at the University of British Columbia.

Outside of work, William enjoys mountain running and exploring interesting places. Tell us more, Will!

Aaron Merriam

Web Development

Aaron is a professional problem solver. Trained in mathematics from Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas, nothing excites or motivates him more than a good puzzle or riddle. He also gets excited about pizza. As a former educator, Aaron shared his passion for logic puzzles by developing a website with his students to encourage creative problem solving and original riddle writing. When he was ready for a new challenge, the world of programming and software proved to be a perfect fit, filled with riddles and puzzles in the form of algorithms and elegant code.

In his spare time Aaron practices aerial circus arts, stilt walking, and dabbles in a few other performance art forms. Mostly though, he specializes in fun.

David Sanders

Web Development

David comes to Fusionbox with a unique perspective on programming. With a degree in music from the University of Colorado at Boulder, David easily navigates between the rigid rules of a baroque fugue and the confusing quirkiness of Javascript. Another polyglot, David has studied Japanese and Nepali, but is currently focused on Python and the Django framework!

After a satisfying day of bug bashing, David likes to hike, speak Japanese, and play classical guitar or tabla.

Samantha Graffeo

Web Development

Sam is a mathematician who grew disenchanted with high level abstraction. After studying math at Swarthmore College outside of Philadelphia and then again at University of Colorado Denver, she took a hiatus from the PhD program to pursue programming. She enjoys the beauty of puzzle solving and views programming as logic incarnate. When she hasn't got her hands on a keyboard, she's training for Olympic distance triathlons, cooking from vegan cookbooks and spending time with her partner and two dogs.

Caesar Barba

SEO/PPC Analyst

Caesar comes to the Fusionbox team with a background as a mathmagician (University of Southern California). Diving head-first into the Internet Marketing world, he puts the analysis in Web Analytics. With so many tools available to structure and collect information...a lot of information...he is passionate about constructing creative, data-driven solutions, that benefit both companies and users.

Outside of the 'Box, Caesar loves spending time in theaters, meeting new people, quoting his favorite films, and exploring the great outdoors of Colorado - any recommendations welcome and appreciated!

Samuel Irwin

Online Marketing Manager

Sam has been building and managing online marketing campaigns since 2004, and brings a variety of experiences to the Fusionbox team. Having worked in both an agency and a client-side capacity, Sam has a wide range of SEM and SEO skills including PPC management, A/B and multivariate testing, website optimization as well as tracking and analytics architecture.

Outside of work Sam enjoys biking, reading and Red Sox baseball, although he suspiciously attends far more Rockies games than Red Sox games...

Rachael Moyte

Copywriter

Originally from Los Angeles, Rachael moved to Denver in October 2010 to pursue a writing career. At Fusionbox, she's the word junkie who writes, edits and proofreads. From web content to blog posts and everything in between, Rachael has mad love for the written word. All of her experience has been acquired through on the job training, blogging, and learning from her mentor who just so happens to be her mom. When she's not glued to her computer screen or buried in her journal, Rachael loves to skateboard, check out the Denver music and art scenes, hoop and drink fancy stout beers.

Erin Tran

SEO Account Manager

Erin graduated from University of Colorado at Boulder with a degree in Advertising and minor in Classics. She jumped headfirst into the world of Internet Marketing with a background in journalism and experience with the advertising side of the "inter webs" to support her.

Erin enjoys embarking on outdoor adventures, rescuing little critters as a volunteer, and eating delicious food stuffs.

Paula Lee

Quality Assurance

Paula Lee is the bane of our programmers' existence, and our clients' best friend. If there is a bug in our code, she will find it. She actually gets miffed on those occasions when she can't find any bugs, which has become our developers' greatest compliment.

Paula is also on the board of directors for Arts Street, a Denver non–profit that trains our future creative workforce.
