David Adolfson
Chairman of the Board

David Adolfson has been working at Adolfson & Peterson Construction since 1952. His education includes coursework at the University of Minnesota in Construction Management, Estimating and Marketing. David's father, George, co-founded Adolfson & Peterson Construction and David began working for the company in 1952 as a bricklayer/foreman. In 1961, he began working as a project manager/estimator and continued in this position until 1972 when he became assistant secretary. In 1979, David succeeded his father George and became president of the company. He maintained this position until 1996, when he became Chairman of the Board. He has remained actively involved with the business community presenting Adolfson & Peterson Construction's services. He is instrumental in maintaining corporate contacts and reinforcing A&P's marketing and business development activities. His community involvement includes Presbyterian Homes and Services of Minnesota, Wycliffe International and St. Andrews Lutheran Church in Mahtomedi, Minnesota.
Michael Peterson, CPA

Michael's nearly forty years of management, law and finance experience in the construction industry with Adolfson & Peterson (A&P) culminated in his becoming president and CEO in 1996. He began the leadership path in 1973 when he was appointed controller of the company, secretary/treasurer in 1976, vice president and general manager in 1982.
His professional affiliations include the Associated Builders & Contractors (board member), Associated General Contractors of America, the Construction Financial Management Association, and the Construction Industry Round Table. Michael is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Aurora (Colorado) Economic Development Council. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in business from the University of Minnesota and is a CPA in Minnesota and Colorado.
Michael has been married for 31 years to his lovely wife Lynn and is the father of four beautiful daughters. He is an avid traveler, fisherman, Rotary Club member, and board member of two local education foundations.
Scott A. Weicht, CPA

Scott has been president of A&P since March 2005. After working for the company during his college years as a heavy equipment operator, he left the firm to become a Texas certified public accountant. He rejoined in 1984 as controller, became vice president of operations in 1994 and executive vice president in 1997.
He is past president of the Associated General Contractors of Minnesota and actively represents industry issues at the state and federal level. He is chairman for the Midwest Ironworkers Pension and Health & Welfare funds and serves on the board of the Construction Career Training Program, a faith-based organization that places ex-offenders in the workplace. He is on the board of directors of Presbyterian Homes and Services, a regional senior housing service provider and trustee of a related foundation. He also is active in a number of community service organizations, including the St. Louis Park Sunrise Rotary, Colonial Church of Edina, and Children's Cancer Research Fund.
Born and raised in Minnesota, Scott earned a Bachelor of Science degree in business from the University of Minnesota and a master's degree in liberal studies from Hamline University. He has studied management at the MIT Sloan School of Management and The University of St. Thomas. He collects vintage port, foreign currency, and loves to travel the world when not building a great construction organization.
