Scott County Jail

Location: Shakopee, Minnesota

Client: Scott County
Design Partners: DLR Group

The Scott County Jail required high safety standards due to the tight site and complexity of the project. The facility is located in downtown Shakopee across the street from the Scott County Government Center. The 150,000 square foot jail and correctional facility features a 160-cell jail with the ability to double bunk, law enforcement center, a dispatch center, secured courtroom, and semi-secure waiting area. A connecting tunnel under the street will join this facility with the existing county's correctional facility.
