Reid Park Zoo School

Location: Tucson, Arizona

Client: City of Tucson
Design Partners: Swaim Associates Ltd.

The Zoo School accommodates over 400,000 visitors each year serving as an educational facility that in and of itself is educational. The school is a LEED® Platinum registered facility, and the deconstruction and rebuilding will incorporate maximum use of recycled materials. The construction includes pervious concrete, bamboo carpentry, alternative fuel stations, photovoltaic (solar power), and operable windows.
