Global Water Resources Center

Location: Maricopa, Arizona

Client: Global Water Management LLC
Design Partners: Deutsch Architecture Group

The Global Water Resources Center is the operational headquarters for Global Water's Palo Verde Utilities Company and Santa Cruz Water Company (both water and wastewater). The LEED® Silver registered design-build project consists of two buildings. The main office building (approximately 15,000 square foot) will serve both office operations and their retail service operations. Global Water wanted the building to be a show case for water reclamation and reuse, so a number of sustainable building elements where utilized in the facility. Some elements include upgraded landscaping and a walkway from the board room to the plant treatment area with a waterfall from the effluent pond into a mini-lake system. The office building also houses engineers, field technicians and lab facilities. The other structure (approximately 5,000 square foot) houses maintenance and warehouse operations. The structure will have a loading dock, cantilever crane, wash down area for dirty pumps and equipment, and will house spare parts. The building is secured with card locks.
