Search Engine Strategy
Prime organic search engine ranking takes planning, though. And your search engine marketing campaign should begin with a thorough and strong plan. This is our approach:
Keyword Strategy – Identifying the most relevant and effective keywords is critical to great search engine placement. We hold extensive interviews with our clients on their business, and what they believe their keywords to be. From there, we will expand on that list with our suggestions, and use tools that tell us how popular each of those keywords are. So, we can take a phrase like “Denver web design� and find out how many times users have searched for that term in a given month. This helps us determine the most competitive key phrases. This tool also gives us suggestions on related key phrases. So, if I run “Denver web design� through the tool, it might suggest that we also consider “Denver website design.�
Once you have determined the most searched upon keywords, the real strategy begins. From here, we need to narrow down the list to a group of 5-10 related key phrases that are attainable. For example, one of our clients, a Colorado Ranch selling homesteads, developed a keyword list with “Colorado Real Estate� on it. We knew that it would be very difficult to achieve high ranking with such a competitive key phrase, so we suggested “Colorado Ranch Real Estate�—much more targeted, and therefore much more attainable.
