Web Design Teams

When redoing your site, make sure you get all the necessary team members together. Here is the ideal web project team.

Project Manager – creates budget, timeline, functional requirements and overall strategy

Information Architect – develops the structure of the site based on key user paths and workflow

Usability Expert – drives the usability of the entire site and the workflow; oversees usability testing

Search Engine Optimizer – develops a key phrase strategy and makes sure that the code and content are optimized for search engines

Writer – writes all site content according to the content strategy and key phrase strategy

Designer – designs how the site will look according to the design strategy

Developer (Programmer) – develops the functionality of the site (sometimes called backend)

QA Testers – tests the site for errors

Usability Testers – real users who go through testing scenarios with the usability expert collecting feedback

If you put the right team together, you'll be sure to get it done right.
