Qualistar Website Design
12/15/2006Fusionbox recently launched a new web site design for the non-profit Qualistar. Qualistar Early Learning is a statewide non-profit organization working with child care providers,
parents, and communities to improve the quality of early childhood education in Colorado.
Fusionbox created a new web design as well as a content management system that allows admins to create different levels of authority for users. This means that only authorized users can change content that falls under their area of expertise. The content management center also allows Qualistar admins to add images, documents and links by logging in to a secure admin center.
Qualistar was presented with a unique challenge because the Denver non profit serves two unique target audiences. Parents need information on child care and parenting resources and child care professionals need training and education, information on grants, and instructions on how to apply for a Qualistar rating. Fusionbox solved this challenge by steering users directly to the areas on the site that suit their needs directly on the homepage. Although some content is presented in both areas, users are not served up content that does not apply to them.
Feedback on the new web site design has been overwhelming positive from parents, child care professionals and Qualistar internal users.
