Usability 101
06/05/2007Last week I had the pleasure of speaking to a group of women businesses in Denver.
I asked the Burrito Lady what kind of information she thought people would like to see on her web site. She said, “My phone number, ordering information, menus, and pricing.” So, there’s your website. Done. There is really no need to complicate the process.
Users mostly don’t care to read a long bio of the owner or the company’s history, or long explanations of every service you can provide. Give them the information they need to hire you, or buy your products in a short, clear way, and you’ll win over your audience.
