WWL-TV RESTAURANT GUIDE
A guide and review site for New Orleans area restaurants from WWLTV
Fusionbox was hired to design and develop a restaurant review and guide website for New Orleans news channel WWLTV. To do this, we used to the latest in web development (2.0) that allows users to find, rate, and review restaurants in the New Orleans area. We developed a search engine that allows restaurants to be found by name, cuisine, price range, neighborhood, and other users' ratings.
Morning show restaurant critic "Napoleon" does featured reviews of restaurants that are posted on the home page. The site allows WWLTV to update their content through a custom content management system (CMS) that allows them to easily insert new restaurants and reviews.
Fusionbox also created a complex rating system that takes into account the number of reviews and the average scores of those reviews in order to give balanced ratings. This way, a restaurant with one 5-star rating won't automatically have a greater average score than a site that has three 5-star ratings and a 4-star rating.
Got an idea for a complex website? See how Fusionbox can bring it to life.
