Fusionbox Lights Up Denver with Hundreds of Fireflies... and Jimmy Carter

At Fusionbox, it's always bright. That's not to say we keep our shine to ourselves. Our staff is pumped to help light up Denver on July 19th by participating in the Firefly 5K Run. A portion of the race's proceeds go to Habitat for Humanity of Metro Denver, who just so happens to be our pro-bono web design client this year.
It's certainly not going to be an average Friday night for 'Boxers who will be running (okay, some of us will be walking) just over 3 miles with hundreds of Fireflies. This is far more than a run-of-the-mill charity race. What makes the Firefly Run so unique and exciting is that it's also a human light show.
Outfitted with LED lights, glow sticks, and other flashy attire, runners literally illuminate the night. After the race, 'Boxers will bask in the afterglow of post-race entertainment and enjoy seeing the most radiant costumes win the costume contest.
What also makes the Firefly 5k Run special to us is the charity that benefits this year. Habitat for Humanity of Metro Denver have built more than 500 homes housing more than 2,000 Denver residents since 1979. We were fortunate enough to be offered a chance to re-design their website in order to shed even more light on the opportunities Habitat for Humanity of Metro Denver provides Denver residents in need of affordable housing.
Delivering the best web design in Denver has always been Fusionbox's forte and we certainly did not hold back in giving Habitat for Humanity of Metro Denver a platinum upgrade. With a new responsive web design, Habitat for Humanity of Metro Denver's website will for the first time be optimized for all users, including web visitors with disabilities and those viewing the site on a mobile device.
We also built a Content Management System (CMS) backend to allow Habitat for Humanity of Metro Denver staff to quickly and easily make changes to their site independent of us, all while maintaining the freshly minted look and feel of the sleek new web design.
Denver residents needing and looking for Habitat for Humanity's services on the web will also be able to find them much easier since our in-house Denver SEO experts made sure to optimize Habitat for Humanity's new site to the hilt. All our web development pro-bono work was done with high hopes of putting Habitat for Humanity of Metro Denver in a new spotlight, making sure those without affordable housing options in Denver can find new possibilities for the security and safety they deserve.
Fusionbox is also ecstatic to launch the new web design this Fall when President Jimmy Carter will be in Denver. Chosen as the host city for the 2013 Jimmy & Rosalynn Carter Work Project, Habitat for Humanity of Metro Denver will build 11 new and repair 15 existing homes in Denver's Globeville neighborhood. Other exciting events will be happening throughout the week of October 6th - October 11th, including a Community Kick-Off Celebration, Raise the Roof Presidential Dinner and Celebration event, and 26 home dedication ceremonies.
We are so proud and privileged to be able to give Habitat for Humanity of Metro Denver a brand new web design and upgraded web presence just in time for such a high-profile and momentous honor for Denver.
Be sure to keep your eyes peeled for the new shine coming your way, Denver!
