Fusionbox is honored to be named, once again, as a top interactive agency by BtoB magazine (now part of Advertising Age). Fusionbox has been recognized with his award every year since 2006, but what does it really mean? In honor of this award, we decided to do a little writing on what it means to be a B2B business versus a B2C business.
When you run a B2C business, you often have a very clear sense of your audience. Typically, you are marketing a set of products or services, and you know who might be interested in those products or services. Having this information makes your marketing that much easier. If your audience has needs or questions, you can be there to fill those needs and answer those questions.
On the other hand, B2B businesses are targeting other businesses, which complicates the marketing needed. Other businesses may have their own set of potential customers they are looking to reach, so we try to keep that in mind when marketing to them. We have to consider not only our own potential audience, but also all of their potential audiences. Our clients are often concerned with how we can help them reach their audience or improve the experience of their customers.
When marketing to other businesses, Fusionbox is careful to be sensitive to the complexity another business can have. Individuals themselves are complex, and a group of individuals in a company are that much more complex. It takes a lot of careful thought to capture business from other businesses.
With this award of “A Top Interactive Agency,” I also want to stress Fusionbox’s dedication to true interactivity with our clients. We want our clients to feel involved, educated, and in-control throughout all aspects of the design, development, and marketing process. We engage in ample client education to make sure they are involved all along the way. These are the things that are important to us, and this is what it means to us to be chosen as a Top Interactive B2B Agency.
